Laura has been working in acrylics for some time but more recently has added collage to the mix. Some pieces are more collage than painting.

The addition of collage began when she was commissioned in 2019 to produce an exhibition at Sidmouth Museum. 'Fishermen's Friend' is based on the life of Stephen Reynolds. 

She realised it could help enormously with producing work on a theme. Laura has continued using collage in conjunction with acrylics mostly since then, as it is such a versatile medium. It gets away from any fixed version of reality.
